Extensions are some of the most varied scaffolding jobs we quote. A single-storey rear can sometimes be worked from a tower; a double-storey rear or wrap-around almost always needs a proper independent scaffold with loading capacity and edge protection.
Typical project types
- Single-storey rear extensions
- Double-storey rear extensions
- Side-return and wrap-around extensions
- Two-storey side extensions and infill works
- Orangery additions
- Extension roof works and finishings

Frequently asked questions
Do I need scaffolding for a single-storey extension?
Not always — sometimes a tower scaffold is sufficient. For most extensions where roofers and renderers need edge protection, a proper scaffold is faster, safer and not much more expensive.
How long does an extension scaffold stay up?
Typically 6–12 weeks depending on the size of the build. We include the realistic hire period in the quote upfront.
Can the scaffold accommodate loading materials?
Yes — we can include a loading bay sized to the materials your builder needs to lift.
